Making Memories with Weeva

Disclosure: Weeva provided me with a photobook free of charge to review in this post. As always though, I only share products I love. Thanks for supporting Sandpaper and Glue.

Back in September two of my bestest friends got married (I posted some of my DIY wedding gifts for them here and here). This past weekend they took me and my husband out to dinner to thank us for helping with their wedding, and I surprised them with this amazing photo book from Weeva.

This is not your average photo book- it is interactive. I invited family and friends of the bride and groom to upload pictures, share stories, and add in best wishes for the couple and then Weeva arranged it all into this super fantastic memory book. I insisted that the front cover had faces and the back cover had butts. Because of course.

For this book, I included pictures from the wedding, copies of their vows and readings, and then pictures of them throughout the years. On the Weeva website, I set up categories for friends and family to hop in and add their two cents and pictures as well. It’s super cool- you can invite people through email, but there’s also an option to share a link with them through a Facebook message which I found way easier.

I asked people to share best wishes for the couple, a favorite memory they have with them, how they met each person, etc. It’s so nice to have so many stories all in one spot- and the website lets people not just upload a story, but a picture to go along with it too.

Once everything was uploaded I submitted the info through the website and their team organized it all in to a cohesive book. They are meticulous with this process- they emailed me back about pictures that were low resolution and might not look best, about people’s names to make sure all the spelling was right, and a full copy to review before it went to print.

This is SUCH a timesaving feature. When I made my wedding book two years ago I did it through a different photo service site and it took me freaking forever to arrange the pictures, embellishments, order of pages…. you don’t have to do any of that with this book and it is glorious.

The book came out gorgeous, and very high quality. It really was the perfect gift for our friends and I know they’ll love it forever. They were so touched and surprised. Watching them flip through this 40+ page book to see what we all wrote and included for them was really cool. There may have been some watery eyes. From both parties.

SO- I figured that with holidays coming up now would be the perfect time to share the book with you all. Even if you can’t get it done in time for Christmas, it’d be perfect for Valentine’s day or an anniversary as a memory book or engagement present. It makes an amazing baby book as well- imagine the whole family leaving notes and messages for baby in one cohesive book. There’s lots of possibilities! And the best part is it’s basically a fancy scrapbook that requires no artistic ability at all- so even a non DIY-er can get it together for one of these books!

  1. I used Weeva to make a fabulous end of school gift for our 4 year old’s preschool class. Each child’s parent contributed. We collaborated in a supper easy way. Because we also ordered copies for ourselves we received a quantity price break. Win/win/win!!
